STAIRWELL CRUISING by Antonio Da Silva

Emergency stairwells are spaces designed for escape — but for some men, they become places of unexpected connection and intimacy. Glances are exchanged and games of seduction begin, soon leading to a quick escape into the stairwell, where those glances turn into brief and intense sexual encounters.

Narrow steps, echoing footsteps, and the constant risk create a unique tension. The architecture itself heightens anticipation, amplifying every sound, every movement. These are spaces where, through sound alone, one can sense the arrival of someone unexpected.

What was built for emergencies transforms into a secret stage for intimacy. Function gives way to desire. And in these hidden corridors, men find not just an exit — but a fleeting escape into intimacy.
