O décor/location é fantástico. A ereção do pénis surge naturalmente como ilustração da narrativa, o que é raro qualquer que seja o filme. O físico e o tom de pele do Grundvold estão perfeitos para o papel de estátua – full points on casting. Por outro lado a pilosidade do Grundvold é, na minha opinião, muito mais sensual do que o depilado tão dominante em filmes com cenas de sexo. As ejaculações do Grundvold são magníficas. A música está escolhida com mestria. E o fecho do círculo com o regresso à condição de estátua é um remate perfeito.
The film is beautiful, thought-provoking, and seductive. It raises more questions than answers, but I was fascinated by the relationship between the male body and the sculptures, or the human body and water or plants. Even the first ejaculation could the cum coming from the penis or from the plants that surround the penis. I loved the huge contrast between the classical music and the brutal sounds, even those sounds of sex. I found fascinating how the editing makes us think about the relationship between piss and water and how the latter functions erotically. I loved the way that the main protagonist ends up returning to an inanimate state which points to the relationship between death and art. The film takes us to psychic and physical spaces and temporalities that interrupt the prosaic nature of our contemporary world. Therefore, this is an anachronistic garden that is less utopian than heterotopian in Foucault sense.
